What Inspires a Painting?

What inspires me most is colour, the hidden colours that are everywhere, and of course the brighter the better! haha.

But I am also inspired by things I see that gives me ideas. The main idea of the swirls to the background colours of my paintings were inspred by the spiral patterns I see on a Paua Shell.

The way the colours and patterns twist and mingle was like a painter's muse.
